New York is known for birthing the genre of Drill Music. Many artists from this city have made a name for themselves in the streets and in the music industry. A lot of these drill rappers are known for sharing dark vivid stories of the things they did in the streets through their music.

Well now I’m here to tell you that Jeremiah Thomas is ready to produced his first drama series allowing people to share their stories about the drill culture, how artists came up in the industry, how they rose to fame, as well as survive the trials and tribulations of being poor in the hood. Valentino also serves as a co- director of the film, while Fire Factory will be telling the story behind the lens with the visuals. The name of the new motion picture is called “Drillas- The Rise Of New York Drill,” which you will find to be really gritty and emotional. Season 1 is based around Juss Flock who is a talented artist trying to find his way out of an uncompromising situation in the hood, while he works on not losing his own identity.

This “Drillas- The Rise Of New York Drill” drama series was inspired by real stories that are manifesting in our communities here in NYC. These stories are unheard, misrepresented, or even glorified like it’s something good to be going through, when in reality it’s not. A lot of blood was shed and many people have lost loved ones due to the ongoing violence in our communities. “Drillas” was definitely created to offer a raw and authentic look into the drill movement, as well as inform people of the consequences that come with this lifestyle, and how you can come up in the entertainment business. The creators of this film main objective is to capture both the pain and power behind the beats, and allow the new generation a chance to evolve and discover a new way of living.

This drama series is based on a true story and they plan to start filming in September so it can be released by December. The message they plan to relay to the people is powerful. Their exact words are “Your voice matters, but so do your choices.” They want to highlight the struggles people are faced with and how people get caught up making decisions out of desperation. The creators behind this cinema picture hopes that this drama series spark conversations, helps bring forth change in our community, and inspires people to chase their dreams.
